Sinatra! Yea. If you haven't heard another underlooked album, Cycles, 1968, check it out. It's one of my favorites from him. Songs: Cycles, My Way of Life, the cover From Both Sides, Now and Rain in My Heart. I'll check out the Watertown songs.

Bret , ive had the cd for Ghost World for a few years (i got it for the opening track by Mohammed Rafi) but never watched the film until last night ........i really wish Enid had gotten to go to Art college

Awesome video! Love seeing what others’ taste in film brings. I’m a huge fan of the Criterion Collection so I always try to participate every time B&N has its sale. I didn’t get as many as usual this time around but picked up Bound, Peeping Tom, Pat Garret and Billy the Kid, and Videodrome. Love your recommendations for Ghost World, the Arrow video box set (both which I own) and Lisa Frankenstein which my wife and I loved. Seeing that throwback to the 80s always provides a great time. I’m also constantly in film noir mode so there have been several I’ve been watching/rewatching over the past weeks. I’ll definitely look forward to more movie videos in the future.

Hey Bret. Never heard of Edera before today. Getting that album and pink turns blue for the road trip to Montreal this weekend. Revisiting Pumpkins discography through this week among some other 90’s alternative gems. Also check out (if you haven’t already) men/trust. They are a dream pop outfit from Montreal. Their 2 albums which I really love are Oncle Jazz and Untourable Album. I think you’ll dig them. Enjoy!

Will admit i tuned into your video because of the pink dots. So many gaps to fill in for me too but they are exactly how you designed them. Gen x old school goth here (but really more of a punk industrial head come to think lol). They do have a cross over with the goths and electro kids like me. Wondering if you have any tear garden in your collection - a colab btwn Edward Ka-Spel, cEvin Key of skinny puppy & i forget who else LOL. I'll go as far as to say i love tear garden even more.

Infectious Grooves! Never heard of them but just gave it a listen, what a fun album that is! Never been that much into funk rock but the playing on this is undeniable, always appreciate good muscianship when I hear it. Yeah, a great debut album by The Darkness and fun too! The follow-up album was disappointing but Permission To Land remains a classic.

I recognized 'The Golden Age' album cover by The Legendary Pink Dots behind you, that is the most I ever payed for a CD (26 bucks) but I don't regret paying that much because it really sounds heavenly and has been remastered in the best possible way. What an album, probably their greatest masterpiece...

I've been binging on Underworld lately, still amazes me how their 1st album sounded like Duran Duran- G. Michael'ish in ' 87 and then in early 90's they made sharp turn to techno- electronica and never looked back, recording the classiest albums and tracks throughout the years in this gengre

I've been exploring a lot of Depeche Mode's deep cuts lately. I'm really liking Nothing's Impossible from Playing the Angel, as well as New Dress and Here is the House, both from Black Celebration. There are so many songs that aren't really well known that I really like. As far as Memento Mori, Ghosts Again, Caroline's Monkey, and People are Good are my three favorites.

DEPETCHE MODE is my favorite band ever and i saw Depeche Mode at Wells Fargo last year and I got to tell you it was the best concert I ever been too and it was my first Depeche Mode concert and I’ll never forget it

On my turntable this morning, I kicked off the day with Depeche Mode's Shake the Disease/Flexible 12". Was revisiting the Depeche Mode discography, Memento Mori included, recently. Infectious Grooves sounds like a wild ride! I have to spend more time with Grant Green. That Tone Poet series looks superb. I really like The Legendary Pink Dots; I'll have to check out "Double Double." So much material. You really surprised me with that final vinyl. I remember trying to learn to cover that debut single with a friend I was making music with at the time, and it was difficult. They're great. His RUclips channel sounds fun.

"Exciter" is definitely a divisive album; however, personally, I love it. It has such a pleasant vibe, and the production is so futuristic yet timeless. Some of the songs are for sure weaker or have some weak parts. I enjoy the "Spirit" album the least. The songs there are just lazy and forgettable.

The Fragile is my favourite, yes it's not perfect but it's my one album IF i was horribly forced to listen to one album the rest of my life it's the Fragile

This was a great video,and so amazing you looked into the EP's as well,you each gave such insightfull and nuanced takes on the albums and the non album tracks. For me Blue Bell Knoll would be my number 1 album and a non album track would be "Watchlar". I've always thought the cover of 'Garlands' is a really icon album cover and still is. Did you know at the end of August 2024 "The Moon And The Melodies" has been remastered and is about to be re-released. And Elizbeth Fraser and her partner Damon Reece recently released an extended 2 cd version of their Ep "Sun's Signature" it's really stunning and the vocals are sublime. I love cetu javu I have southern land on vinyl the first pressing which I got it brand new for $18 I love camouflage I see you have the second album back there Mathis of silence great album in one of my favorite songs in there is an Islands what a beautiful song in the sugar cubes of course I love the sugar cubes but I only have the first album on vinyl which is life too good.
